WRN?

I was casting on my sock...cast on 56 stitches, join being careful not to twist (sound familiar).  So I am ready to get started, right? *Wrn to make 1---huh?  I flip the page to check for abbreviations/stitch definitions,  none to be found.  This happened to be during my lunch hour today and I was with a fellow knitter....do you know what a wrn is, I inquired? She had never heard of this stitch either.  Very odd.  I checked KnitSpeak when I got home,  wrn stands for wool round needle, this is the British version of a YO.  Mystery solved....I can now commence with my cuff.  Happy Knitting Everyone!

This is good to know.

Well, it's true. You learn something new everyday. Never would have guessed that one.

Thank you! I just came across this myself and went looking for an answer!
